Blue Sky Aviation is a locally owned and operated flight school based at Menominee Regional Airport (KMNM) in Menominee, Michigan and has served the general aviation community of Northeast Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula since 2022. We offer Part 61 flight training from first lesson through advanced ratings.

 

Whether you’re a first-time student, a pilot returning after years away, or an owner moving into a high-performance aircraft or a new Garmin panel, our knowledgeable instructors build a plan around your goals and spend the time necessary to make you safe, proficient, and confident in the cockpit.

 

Our Founding Principles

1. Great flight training is personal, safe, and grounded in the community it serves. We put safety and sound decision-making ahead of speed or schedule, and we teach to a standard rather than to a checkride. We believe that training should result in a pilot with the skills and confidence to exercise their airman privileges, not just an additional rating.

 

2. Every student learns differently, so we tailor each plan to the individual based on goals and recency and totality of any previous pilot experience. Honest communication about cost, progress, readiness, and realistic expectations are more important than hype and buzz.
