Commercial Rating

A Commercial Pilot certificate allows you to be paid to fly, opening the door to careers such as flight instruction, charter, aerial tour and survey work, cargo, and eventually the airlines. Even if you never plan to fly professionally, many pilots earn the rating for the extra skill and discipline it builds, and because it can help lower aircraft insurance costs.

Building on your Private Pilot certificate, the training is focused on handling an aircraft on the edges of its performance envelope and detailed knowledge of commercial operating regulations, pilot privileges and limitations, and risk management principles.
